Assess the piece
Construction, existing finish and any veneer, foil or previous lacquer checked before anything is quoted. Loose joints, chips and dents are noted so repairs are priced in rather than sprayed over.

Strip, degrease & sand
Handles, hinges and glass removed and bagged. Surfaces solvent-degreased then mechanically sanded with Mirka dust-extracted systems, so old varnish or lacquer is keyed back properly rather than sealed under new paint.

Adhesion priming & repair
Filler where damage needs making good, then a dedicated adhesion primer to suit the substrate — timber, veneer, MDF or melamine. Stain-block primer where tannin bleed or a dark-to-light colour change is involved.

Lacquer topcoats & refit
Two to three furniture-grade topcoats sprayed under containment, denibbed between coats, then hardware refitted and the piece returned to the room it came from.

Before
AfterWhy refinishing beats buying new furniture.
Solid, well-made furniture is usually replaced because the finish has dated or worn — not because the carcass, drawers or runners have failed. Refinishing keeps the piece you already own and changes the only part you actually look at.
A like-for-like replacement wardrobe, sideboard or dresser of the same build quality typically costs several times what spraying the existing piece costs, and older furniture is very often better made than the equivalent new item. Most single pieces are collected, sprayed and returned inside a week.
It also opens up colours you cannot buy off the shelf: a matched RAL or NCS shade across a set of mismatched inherited pieces, or a dark, low-sheen lacquer on a bedroom set. The sprayed surface is harder-wearing than the original foil or brushed paint finish.

What kind of furniture do you spray?
Freestanding and fitted pieces alike — wardrobes, chests of drawers, sideboards, dressers, bookcases, display cabinets, dressing tables, bedside units, media units and loose cabinet doors. If it is sound and can be prepared properly, it can usually be sprayed.
Do you spray a whole fitted kitchen on this service?
No — a full kitchen is a different job, with the frames and carcasses sprayed in place in your home. That is covered by our kitchen spraying and respraying service, which is priced and programmed separately.
Can you spray veneer, foil-wrapped or melamine furniture?
In most cases yes, with the right adhesion primer. Peeling foil or blown veneer has to be repaired or removed first — we confirm what is realistic when we see the piece or clear photographs of it.
Will there be brush marks or roller texture?
No. Everything visible is sprayed with Graco airless and HVLP equipment, so the surface is flat and even across doors, drawer fronts and carcass sides.
Do you spray at our house or take the furniture away?
Freestanding pieces are normally collected and sprayed in a controlled setup, which gives a cleaner result and keeps the dust and odour out of your home. Fitted units that cannot be moved are sprayed in place under full containment.
How durable is the finish, and can you match a colour?
We use blocking-resistant furniture-grade systems from Tikkurila and Benjamin Moore, which handle daily handling and cleaning. Any RAL, NCS or paint-brand colour can be matched, including dramatic dark-to-light changes.
