Commercial sites are specified differently to homes — scrub ratings, fire-rated finishes, low-VOC systems, BS reference colours and proper documentation. This is the spec we work to as standard.
Coating system
- Walls: Dulux Trade Diamond Matt or Vinyl Matt — Class 1 wet-scrub rated
- Joinery: Tikkurila Helmi 30 or Dulux Trade Quick Dry Satinwood — low-VOC, recoat same day
- Wet areas: Zinsser Perma-White or Tikkurila Anti-Reflex 2
- Fire doors finished to retain intumescent integrity per manufacturer's spec
Substrate & preparation
- Plaster moisture-tested before mist coat on new build
- Stain-block on nicotine, water and tannin marks — Zinsser Cover Stain or BIN
- Dust-extracted sanding (Mirka Deros + HEPA) in occupied buildings
- Existing finishes adhesion-tested before overcoat on refurb
Product selection
- Trade systems only — Dulux Trade, Tikkurila, Zinsser, Johnstone's
- Scrub-rated for circulation walls — minimum 10,000 wet-scrub cycles
- Low-VOC waterborne gloss and satin on joinery in occupied spaces
- Anti-bacterial and anti-graffiti systems specified on request
- BS 4800 / RAL reference colours matched and recorded for future works
Finish & durability
- 5–7 year cyclical repaint windows on communal stairwells and lobbies
- Consistent sheen across phased works — same batch where programme allows
- Written paint spec, colour codes and touch-up paint left on handover
- Snagging logged, resolved and signed off before final invoice

Yes. The majority of our commercial projects are delivered outside trading hours.
Are you insured for commercial sites?+
Yes — £5m public liability cover, with employers liability cover maintained where required and full RAMS provided per project.
