MDF Spraying
MDF sprayed to a furniture-grade finish — sealed edges, multiple coats and a flat, even surface across joinery, panelling and feature walls.
- Fully insured · £5m public liability cover
- Dustless sanding where relevant
- Premium paint systems · clean protected work
- Residential and commercial
What's involved.
MDF eats paint at the edges if you don't seal it first. Untreated end-grain swells and prints through finish coats — most badly-sprayed MDF you see in the wild is suffering from this.
We seal end-grain with a dedicated MDF primer, sand back, then spray two to three topcoats for an even surface.
We work across Sutton Coldfield, Four Oaks, Mere Green, Little Aston, Lichfield, Tamworth, Birmingham, Solihull and surrounding areas.
- Sealed edges (end grain primed)
- Adhesion primer + 2–3 topcoats
- HVLP or airless to suit panel size
- Any colour and sheen

Common questions.
Why does MDF need special primer?+
End-grain is porous; without a sealing primer it absorbs unevenly and prints through topcoats.
Can MDF be sprayed in dark colours?+
Yes — including blacks and deep blues.
Will the finish be flat?+
Yes, that's the whole point. No brush lay, no roller stipple.
