Every aspect of the project was managed remotely through phone calls and WhatsApp, allowing him to stay informed without ever needing to return to the UK. We collected the keys directly from the estate agents, managed the renovation from start to finish and handed the property back ready for professional photography and viewings.
The objective was to modernise the property, maximise its market appeal and increase its value before sale. Rather than dealing with multiple contractors, the client wanted one trusted company to oversee the entire renovation and coordinate everything on his behalf.
Keys were collected directly from the estate agent and the flat was surveyed room by room. Old carpets were lifted, walls and woodwork assessed, and a full scope of works was agreed with the client over WhatsApp and phone before any work started.
Every moulding for the hallway panelling was individually measured, cut and fixed to achieve perfectly balanced panels suited to the proportions of the space. Second-fix carpentry was carried out cleanly on site, with the layout set out before any timber was fixed.
All joints, mitres and nail holes were filled, sanded flush and caulked. Walls were repaired where needed and missing skirting boards were replaced so every surface was ready to take paint as a single, unified finish.
The new timber panelling and repairs were primed to seal the substrate, block stains and give a stable, uniform base for the finishing coats — a critical step in achieving a seamless painted panel wall.
Once decorated, the panelling reads as though it has always been part of the property. Depth, character and a premium feel were added to what was previously a plain hallway — a strong first impression for prospective buyers.
