What's involved.
Architrave neatens the joint between door lining and plaster. Old architrave tends to crack at the head mitre, gap from the wall and carry too many layers of old paint to ever look sharp again — replacing it is faster and cheaper than trying to rescue it.
We fit architrave alongside skirting and door painting work so the doorway reads as one finish, not three different jobs done years apart.

Strip & prepare
Old architrave removed, frame edges cleaned, lining checked for square.
Cut & fit
Mitres at the head, plumb to the lining, fixed with grab and pins.
Caulk & fill
Caulked to wall and frame, pin holes filled, sanded flush.
Paint
Two coats eggshell or satin in your chosen colour.
