What's involved.
We fit laminate flooring as part of full room refurbishments, so the floor lands tight against freshly fitted skirting rather than against beading bodged in later. Most jobs are a single living room, hallway or full ground-floor flow.
The hidden work matters more than the boards themselves: a flat, dry subfloor, the right underlay for impact noise, an expansion gap that the skirting actually hides, and clean scribing around radiator pipes and door frames.

How the work runs.
Site visit & measure
We assess subfloor condition, doorways, thresholds and pipework, then quote inclusive of underlay, skirting and trims.
Subfloor preparation
Loose boards screwed down, dust removed, levelling compound where needed so the floor isn't telegraphed through the laminate.
Underlay & layout
Acoustic underlay rolled out, first row set against a string line with expansion allowance hidden behind skirting.
Board installation
Click-fit boards laid in a staggered pattern, scribed cleanly around pipes, frames and obstacles.
Finishing
Door bars fitted, skirting reinstalled or replaced, gaps caulked, full clean down before handover.

Common questions.
Do you supply the flooring or do I?+
Either works. Most clients prefer us to supply so quantities, batch and underlay are all matched and warranty-backed in one place.
Can you fit laminate over my existing floor?+
Sometimes. Solid concrete or sound floorboards can take new underlay and laminate straight over the top. Tiles, soft vinyl or uneven boards usually need to come up first — we'll tell you on the site visit.
Will you remove and refit skirting?+
Yes. We usually replace skirting when laminate is fitted — it gives a cleaner line than relying on beading and avoids exposing old paint marks.
How long does a typical room take?+
A standard living room is normally one day fitted, plus a half day for skirting and snagging. Whole ground floors run two to three days.
