What's involved.
Many homes still have 70–90mm builder skirting that looks meaner with every passing decade. Swapping it for a 145–195mm profile is one of the cheapest upgrades that genuinely changes how a room reads.
The work most people don't see is the wall behind. Old runs nearly always leave torn paper, gaps and adhesive scars; we make the plaster good before the new boards go on, not after.

Will replacing skirting damage my walls?+
Some marking is unavoidable — we include making good in the quote so the wall is ready for paint, not just hidden behind a thicker board.
Can you do it without lifting the carpet?+
Usually yes. We tape the carpet edge down and cut a clean line; the new skirting sits over the protected edge.
How long for an average four-bed?+
Whole-house replacement is typically three to five days, including making good and a coat of paint.
Can you increase the skirting height?+
Yes — that's normally the point. Most projects go from around 100mm up to 145–170mm.
